Merry Christmas!

In many parts of the world, it may not feel like Christmas due to a lack of snow or chill. For others, the snow may blanket the ground, but life’s circumstances prevent the expected cheer from blossoming.

But Christmas is not a feeling. It is not snow, or presents, or carols, or egg nog. It is the fulfillment of a promise made long ago.

I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.

Genesis 3:15

She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.

Matthew 1:21

Christmas is a person. It is Jesus. May we keep our eyes fixed firmly on Him this season and always. And may we, with the angels, sing praises to Him: Glory to God in the highest!

I wish all of you a very merry Christmas. Whatever your circumstances, I hope you have time to pause and reflect on our Savior who came in a crib, went to the cross, and forever wears a crown. Merry Christmas!
